ABOUT THE FIRM

Matthew S. Johnson

Matt has owned and operated Rochester Business Law since taking over in 2013. Not only does Matt understand the issues a small business faces through his experience representing clients, he deals with those issues for his own business.  He has primarily worked in the areas of transactional business law and estate planning while at the firm, but has experience in other areas through previous jobs as a judicial law clerk and at Maschka Riedy & Ries, PLLP in Mankato, MN.

Originally from the Marshall, MN area, Matt went to St. John's University for college and the University of Minnesota for law school. Since graduating, he has lived for stretches in Mankato and Winona, but has been a resident of Rochester, MN since 2012 and plans to stay long term. When he has time, Matt enjoys hiking, camping, generally getting outdoors, basketball, softball, and spending time with his wife, daughter, son, and dog.
